This is my 4th solar installation: 2007 - panels feeding into the grid with no batteries. System cost was recouped within 5 years. Yay. 2015 - Stand alone system purchased online - no after sales support. System design was totally inadequate and batteries kept failing. A lesson learned. 2019 - New local installer on my shed who used SMA Sunny Boy. Very happy with the hardware but the system design was basic.This system is still running well. 2024 - Requested a quote for a new dwelling from Bettervolt. Geoff was very responsive , attended the site and did a detailed analysis to optimize the design. Installation took longer than planned but I will acknowledge the misty days when his crew couldn't safely installed the panels. The crew worked safely and were communicative. So far the only load on the system has been from our Tradies who have used some of their gear with very high load requirements. No issues at all with the system. The warranty on the hardware exceeds my life expectation but if I live to be 90 and build another house I'll go back to BetterVolt.
