BetterVolt Solar & Batteries has been designing and installing solar and battery systems since 2021, from our base at 1 Ash Street, Dorrigo. Every system is designed in-house around the property it’s going on, whether that’s a suburban rooftop in Coffs Harbour or a fully off-grid farm outside Dorrigo with no mains power at all. We don’t sell off a price list, and we don’t subcontract the install to whoever’s available.

Local Before We Were Better Volt
Geoff Tosio, our director, has spent more than 10 years as a renewable energy consultant and system designer, specialising in off-grid design. He holds accreditation for both solar and solar + battery systems (A1641687A), and is SAA accredited for grid-connected PV and battery system design (S6874657).
Geoff has been part of the Dorrigo community well before Better Volt existed, involved with TEDx, the Chamber of Commerce and Voices for Cowper, and a Venturer Scout leader in Bellingen for more than 20 years, holding abseiling, rock climbing and bushwalking accreditations. Around 85% of our work comes from referrals — in a region this size, that’s not an accident.

Where We Work
Our office and workshop are at 1 Ash Street, Dorrigo. We don’t set a hard service radius — for the right project, we’ll travel up to 300km, and every install we do is a regional one.
