What we do
Residential solar
Longi panels with Fronius inverters, sized from your actual bills rather than a template.
Battery storage
Sigenergy and legacy BYD/Fronius systems. Midday exports are worth around 5c now — storage is where the maths has moved.
Off-grid systems
Our specialty. Full load-profile design for properties with no mains connection, or an eye-watering connection quote.
Commercial solar
Sheds, farms and businesses across the Coffs Coast and the Clarence Valley.
EV charging & hot water
Sigenergy fast DC Charger, Fronius Wattpilot chargers and Catch Power diverters so your surplus goes to your car and tank, not the grid.

Off-grid is what we're known for
Plenty of companies will sell you panels. Very few on this coast will build you a genuine off-grid load profile.
There’s no grid to fall back on at 3am in July, so the system gets sized against a worst-case week rather than an annual average. Geoff has specialised in this since 2010, and it’s the work we get called about most from up the escarpment.
We’ll also tell you when off-grid isn’t the answer — if you’re 200 metres from a pole, a grid connection plus a battery is usually cheaper.
Who'll actually be on your roof
Every system is custom-designed by Geoff Tosio, a local solar and battery specialist who has been powering Far North Queensland since 2010 (SAA Accreditation #A1641687A). Rather than pushing generic off-the-shelf packages, Geoff hand-crafts each layout to match your specific roof profile, energy habits, and long-term savings goals.
Our experienced team of licensed electricians and accredited technicians brings those designs to life with a strong focus on quality and precision. We take direct responsibility for our installations, standing firmly behind our craftsmanship to ensure long-term system reliability.
Battery rebates are still good, but shrinking
Two incentives apply in New South Wales and they stack — the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate, and a state payment for connecting your battery to a virtual power plant. The federal rebate stepped down on 1 May 2026 and steps down again on 1 January 2027.

Where we work
We’re based on the escarpment at Dorrigo rather than on the coast strip — which means a lot of our work is in places the Coffs-based companies would rather not send a crew.

Common questions
How much does solar cost on the Mid North Coast?
Our systems start at $7,320 installed for a 7.92kW system, with a 10.56kW system from $9,260 and solar plus battery from $19,310. Prices are after the federal STC discount and include installation by our own electricians.
What moves the number is your roof, your switchboard and site access. See all five packages, or book a free inspection for a fixed price.
Do you service Coffs Harbour, or just Dorrigo?
Both, and everything in between — Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Woolgoolga, Bellingen, Urunga, Nambucca Heads, Macksville, South West Rocks and Grafton, plus the hinterland out toward Glen Innes.
Is a battery worth it in NSW in 2026?
More than it used to be. IPART’s benchmark feed-in tariff for 2026-27 fell to between 3.4 and 6.5 cents a unit, while evening exports on the Essential Energy network are benchmarked at 26.6 to 33.3 cents between 5pm and 8pm.
Midday power is worth very little, dinner-time power is worth a lot, and a battery moves energy from one to the other.
Who does the installation?
Our own team — Tom and Will Johnston, Morgan Bowling and David Johnson, all licensed electricians and CEC-accredited solar technicians. Geoff designs the system, CEC accreditation A1641687A. We don’t subcontract on any job.
